The Chinese capital, Nanking, falls to Japan in the second Sino-Japanese War. This lead to the Japanese General Matsui Iwane ordering his man to destroy the city of Nanking, while the Chinese government flees to Hankow.

Japanese soldiers start to kill, rape, and steal from the people of Nanking. 300,000 people dead, and around 20,000-60,000 women were raped. Women ageing from under 10 to over 70 were raped, this included pregnant women and nuns.

There was 28 people on trial, 25 were convicted and 3 of them died in prison during the trial. 7 people including the Prime minister Hideki Tojo got the death sentence. They failed to convict 42 other suspects, and they included big names like Nobusuke Kishi, who became the prime minister of Japan later on, as well as Yoshisuke Aikawa, the head of the car company Nissan.
