PonyBoy at The Movies
PonyBoy, a member of The Greasers, loves movies. Today though, he makes a mistake and goes by himself to see the latest Paul Newman movie. On the way home, he gets jumped by the Socs, the main rival of the Greasers. Fortunately, the rest of the guys come along and save him just in time. -
Meeting Cherry Valance
Once again at the movies, the Drive-In this time, Pony and Johnny meet Cherry Valance and her friend. Cherry, a Soc, has had a fight with her boyfriend, so the guys end up walking them home. -
The Park
Johnny and Pony fall asleep in the park. When Johnny gets home late, he and Darry get into a fight. He runs awayd to the park and meets up with Johnny again. Soon, it gets ugly though when the Socs show up and attack them. Johnny ends up stabbing and killing one to keep Pony from being drowned. -
The Fire
Pony and Johnny runaway and hide at a church in the country. While out with Dally, a school group of kids come to church for a picnic and start a fire with the matches left behind by the guys. Pony, Johnny and Dally are injured when they rush in to save the kids trapped inside the burning building. -
The Rumble
Johnny is dying in the hospital---the Socs and Greasers plan a rumble. Distraught after Johnny's death, Dally robs a store with a fake gun and is shot down by the police. He is the third to die in just a few days. -
A Second Chance
Amazingly, the courts allow Pony to remain with his brothers. He is back in school, and everyone, including the Socs is trying to move on and make things better while remembering those they have lost.
