    So Ponyboy must be unwillingness that cut his hair down. Ponyboy reveres Darrel, because his parents have died in a car accident, he lives with his brother and Darrel becomes an authority figure for Ponyboy.

    Describing the Greasers and Socs are important, because they are clues in this novel. Greasers and Socs are two different gangs. Greasers are blackguardly and socs are west-side rich kids. Only do we understanding the connection of characters, we can read better.

    We can see from this part of this chapter, Socs always bully Greasers. Because Johnny’s factor oh his family and he was beaten up by socs, he becomes the most cowardly person in the Greasers. Moreover, Greasers are proud of their long hair.

It makes this novel more colorful.

    The conversation between Ponyboy and Cherry is important. It reflects the Socs is tyrannical. Like Ponyboy says, Johnny was hit by Socs, he almost die.

    Cherry admires Dally’s individuality and tells Ponyboy that she could fall in love with Dally. Cherry and Ponyboy become friends, their relationship make a foundation for the content.

    Ponyboy and Cherry have a great deal in common, can improve Cherry is different from others in Socs. For example, Cherry says: You are more emotion we are sophisticated. This is the reason why we are antipathetic.

    Ponyboy thinks Darrel dislikes him, because Darrel is always strick with Ponyboy. Darrel takes place Ponyboy’s parents to look after him, manages him many things. Such as Darrel cooks cake every morning for him. Ponyboy does not realize that Darrel loves him. He feels Darrel is awesome.

Dally helps Ponyboy and Johnny to escape away to the church on Jay Mountain. We can see from Johnny kills Bob neglectful, it proves that Johnny is fearful, nervous and sensible. He is protected by Greasers. In addition, Johnny kills Bob is a important plot in this chapter.

One morning, Ponyboy and Johnny see the sunrise together and remember that a poem in that book Nothing Gold Can Stay.
    To avoid the police, Ponyboy and Johnny withhold their unwillingness, cut their hair down. It can improve that they are have no alternative.

All in all, nice things can not stay.

After read letter, Ponyboy realized that Darrel miss him so much after he escapes away. Dally tell Ponyboy and Johnny Greasers and, Tim and socs will hold a duel at lot. Cherry becomes a spy for the Greasers. Ponyboy always think Darrel dislikes him and stricks with him, but he is wrong. After Ponyboy leaves home, Darrel is sad and miss Ponyboy so much.

Darrel goes to the hospital to see them and he does not want to lose Ponyboy. Although Greasers are blackguardly, always fight with others, and people think they are hoods.

Darrel looked down and turned away silently.” We can see from the sentences, Darrel’s love is deep-seated and silence.

Everyone has them own individualism. We cannot decide a person just because where he comes from.

They like Cherry and they can also chat with each other.

    Johnny is the most important part of Dally’s life. Although Dally is really tough, Johnny is the only thing Dally loves. However, Jonny is gone. Dally loses his everything and he wants to die too. So even Dally has a breaking point. Johnny knows that dying was what Dally wanted, and he always got what he wanted.

    Johnny is dead; it is the bad news for everybody. They lost their good brother. Furthermore, Johnny cannot keep alive and he asks Ponyboy to stay gold, remembering the good thing and value it. He hopes that Ponyboy can always be a good person. There are many good things that people always forget, whereas there are many bad things that people always remember. We must value the good things and keep it forever.

    Because Randy is tired about fighting, he doesn’t come to the fight. Because of Johnny, Dally says that the Greasers must win. The fight is really exciting and nervous. It is one of the important parts of the story. For Dally, this fight is for Johnny. Dally knows that he must win.

Ponyboy don’t want admit that Jonny is dead. He wants to admit that he kills the Bob. Because Ponyboy wants to keep good thing with Johnny, he wants to admit the murder.

The only thing that he can do for Johnny is that he wants to admit the bad things, keeping the good things for him. He doesn’t want anybody to hurt Johnny.

Finally, the judge announces that Ponyboy is innocence and he can stay with his brothers.

After going back to school, Ponyboy cannot back to his life. After that, he finds the letter from Johnny. Johnny doesn’t regret saving those children; even he knows that he is going to die.

It is the ending of the story, but it is also the beginning of the story.
