    Odysseus and his crew visit the Land of the Cicones and start winning the battle, but Odysseus's men becomes drunk and reckless. This allowed the Cicones to push the men off of the island.

    Odysseus and his men visit the Island of the Lotus Eaters and the men eat the lotus flowers which makes them forget about home. Odyseus has to tie his men to the ship in order to save his men.

    Odysseus visits Aeolus who gives him a bag of winds. When Odysseus falls asleep, the men open the bag and sends them all the way back to Aeolus's island. Aeolus refuses to help him a second time.
