Eurylochus led his group inside Circe's home, she got them drunk (or used some magic) and then turned them to pigs/hogs.

Eurylochus came running to Odysseus and warned him of Circe and her powers, Odysseus had some help from Hermes went back to rescue his men. She tries to trick him but it doesn't work, his men are saved but they stay on the island for a year.

Odysseus has to talk to the prophet Tiresias before returning home so he could help him. He traveled until he was able to reach the land of the dead.

Odysseus made a sacrafice for Tiresias, he also saw Elpenor (one of his men who dies at Circe's house) there.

Argos, Odysseus's old dog, recognized Odysseus and the dog wanted to get his attention. Odysseus remembered him and was sad that he was being treated this way. Eumaeus (still not knowing the man was Odysseus) told him that the dog has been depressed because Odysseus wasn't home.

Penelope, still upset about Odysseus, propses an archery contest with the prize being her hand in marriage.

Odysseus tells the swineherd and cowherd that he is actually Odysseus. He asks them to help him with his plan, he asks them to lock the gates of the castle. He also asks them to lock up the women in a room for safety, and to make sure the women stay in the room even if they hear people dying.

Penelope leaves the room so the men can decide who will go first in the bow contest.

Odysseus wants to go first and he starts stringing the bow while all the suitors are yelling out comments

Odysseus strings the bow with ease and wins the contest.

Athena made her interference known and Odysseus killed all of the suitors.

Odysseus takes off his disguise and he takes his shot, he makes it, hits Antinous and kills him.

Odysseus denies the offer that one of the suitors proposes. Odysseus wants them all to die.

The suitors tried to attack and kill Odysseus but their attempts failed.

Odysseus had himslef cleaned up before he confronted his wife. Odysseus asks her why she is not happy and overjoyed that Odysseus is home, she respnds that she is not 100% positive that he is actually Odysseus.

Penelope asked her maid to put Odysseus's bed outside the bedchamber. Odysseus was outraged because he made the bed out of a olive tree tunk that was still in the ground, it was impossible to move (he thought that somehow someone moved it).

After Odysseus got angry about the bed Penelope embraced him because he passed the test. The test was about the bed because only Penelope, Odysseus, and one servant knew about the secret of the bed.
