  • Still in Troy {Book Nine}

    They arrive on the Island of the lotus eaters. Their next stop was the land of Cyclops, Polyphemus, who ate two of Odysseus men each day until they were able to escape.
  • Leaving Troy {Book Nine}

    Odysseus and his men fleet, leave Troy. Odysseus and his crew land on Ismara on the caost of Thrace, where they sack the city. They engage in battle with the Ciconians. Many men are lost.
  • Aeolian Island {Book Ten}

    Odysseus and his crew land on the Aeolian Island of Aeolus the "Keeper of the winds." Before leaving the island, Odysseus has a bag of trapped wind and is warned to not open the bag.
  • Still in Aeolian Island {Book Ten}

    The bag was opened realsing all the winds, just as Odysseus and his crew had sailed within sight of Ithaca.They were swept back to Aeolian by the violent winds. Odysseus and his men came to Aeolian.
  • The Underworld {Book Twelve}

    Odysseus and his men journey to the underworld, coming to the river Acheron. Odysseus speaks with Tiresias and Tiresias cautions Odysseus on Helios' cattle and warns him about Scylla and Charybdis.
  • Still in the Underworld {Book Twelve}

    Odysseus eventually drifts to Ogygia, the home of Calypso who keeps him on her island for seven years.
  • Finally Home {Book Twenty One}

    Odysseus finally comes home and reunites with his son, Telemachus. He meets the goddess Athena and gets information that his place is being overthrown. His wife who has no more beieve of Odysseus life
  • Finally Home Part Two {Book Twenty one}

    Odysseus wife offers the sutiors that if they can string the bow can join her life. Men have tried and they did not succeed so Telemus trys and he succeeds. So he is the true son of king Odysseus.
  • Penelope {Book Twenty two}

    Penelope gets Odysseus bow out and Telemachus sets up the axes and Odysseus follows Eurymaeus and Philoetius outside.
  • Odysseus {Book Twenty Two}

    So Odysseus comes back and he see's that Eurymachus tries to bow and Odysseus gets mad and feels betray. Antinous suggests that they adjourn until the next day, and they sacrificed to Apollo.
  • Eurycleia {Book Twenty Three}

    Eurycleia goes upstairs to call penelope, who has slept through the entire fight. Penelope doesn't believe anything that Eurycleia says, and she remains in disbelieve even when she came to Odysseus.
  • End of the road

    Odysseus gets his bow and shoots threw all twelve axes and thats when his wife knew and they were happily reunited.
