    The battle started on April 12, 1861 to April 13, 1861. It was located near Charleston, South Carolina. It was the first battle of the civil war and was the start of the war. The Confederates started the battle by bombarding Fort Sumter. The South had the first victory of the Civil War.

    The battle was located near Manassas, Virginia. The commader of the Union Army was Irvin McDowell and the commander of the Confederate Army was Thomas J. Jackson. It was another Confederate victory. Everyone thought that the war was over. Little did they know that it was only the beginning.

He was watching a play called Our American Cousin at Ford Theatre in Washington D.C, whe nhe was murdred. An actor, James Wilkes Booth, planned and killed Abraham Lincoln. He was the first president to be assissnated.
