Johnny Appleseed was born on 1774 in Leominster, Massachusetts. His real name wasn't Johnny Appleseed, it was actually John Chapman. He got the nickname later on when he got famous for planting apple trees.

From 1774 to 1845,
Johnny was a vegetarian nomad who planted apples. He became a legend later on, and his feet were super hard because of all the hikes he took barefoot.He planted many orchards that grew apples. -
Johnny's mother and baby brother die, causing Johnny's father to remarry in 1780.

Johnny wants to start planting apples, so he moves to Pennsylvania. He took the smaller roads because he liked them better.

After seeing all the apple cores that the cider company threw away ,Johnny got an idea. He asked if he could get them and he did, for free. He took the apple seeds out of the cores and stared an apple tree business.

Johnny plants his first apple tree orchard in Warren, Pennsylvania

Johnny plants more apple trees after he moves to Ohio, then he starts to get famous for his apple orchards and his stories.

Johnny makes his first land purchase in Mount Vermon, Ohio.

In 1850, Johnny starts his first orchard in Indiana

Now that Johnny had three orchards, that he took care for mostly by himself, it must have been difficult to take care of them all at once, especially because they were in different states.

Johnny Appleseed dies in Indiana at the age of 70. He died of Pneumonia.

Johnny Appleseed took lots of hikes barefoot, so his feet were hard and crusty from going from state to state without shoes.

After Johnny died, an article about him appears in a magazine, which makes him famous everywhere, later on more things are written about him.

Since Johnny planted so many apple orchards, others started doing it too, now apples are everywhere and more types of apples are coming up.
