First Generation iPhone
On June 29, 2007, Steve Jobs the owner of Apple released the First Generation iPhone. This was the first of many smartphones released by Apple. This phone was one of the first fully functional touch screen smartphones. This phone had a 3.5 inch LCD screen and a 2 megapixel camera. The iPhone was exclusively for AT&T users. This was revolutionary to the world and I affected the community by starting the whole iPhone revolution.

iPhone Timespan
The First iPhone was released on June 29th, 2007 and the most recent iPhone, the iPhone 7, was released on September 17th, 2016. Apple is still working on new and improved iPhones everyday. -
iPhone 3G
Apple called it the "3G", which means 3rd generation mobile technology, which is a wide-area technology that had a much faster download speed than the previous phone. The main improvement between this and the First Generation iPhone was the download speed it offered. This affected society by improving the First Generation iPhone b fixing some of the first seen issues.

iPhone 4
This iPhone was 25% thinner than the previous phone. This iPhone was a huge step forward in smartphone technology at the time, with a front-facing camera, a headphone jack, and they changed the operating systems name from iPhone OS to iOS 4. This affected society by making a more user friendly phone, with a slimmer more comfortable feel to it.

iPhone 5
With the iPhone 5, Apple offered a bigger size, 4G LTE Coverage, a new processor and camera, they also added new colors and an improved battery life. All of these were things that consumers really wanted. This affected society by the use of LTE coverage for iPhones. This also changed the battery life which allowed users to have access to this technology for longer periods.

iPhone 6
With this new iPhone Apple added a fingerprint scanner and made their new phone a lot smaller. They added a better processor, a bigger screen, and they are now going to be using iOS 8. This affect the community with tons of new Apple users, I myself got the iPhone 6 as my first iPhone. This affected society by giving the iPhone a much better look to I, that was slimmer and looked a whole lot better.

iPhone 7
The iPhone 7 Apple added waterproofing to the iPhone, whereas before you had to buy a certain case in order for waterproofing, a good low light camera and better battery life. Apple changed some things which some people didn't like, for example they have the same design and they removed the headphone jack. It affected society by limiting the amount of people that buy the iPhone 7 because of these changes.
