    The Ming Dynasty began in 1368. HongWu was the first emperor. He ruled from 1368 to 1398 Under HongWu's rule a navy was built, with ships that weighed 1,500 tons.

    HongWu died in1398. Shortly after his death the Ming Dynasty started having bad luck.

    The Ming Dynasty expanded the Great Wall of China in the 1500s to prevent attacks from other countries

    Ocean Boating Trips Prohibited

    In 1525, there was a law passed that said no one was allowed to go boating in the ocean. If anyone was caught, they were executed and their boats were destroyed.

    In 1550, Mongols looted and burned some of the Ming territory, attempting to overtrow the capitol, Beijing

    The last emperor of the Ming Dynasty was Emperor SiZong. He stabelizied the Empire SiZong tried to improve the life of peasents during his reign He commited suicide, saving himself from the disgrace of being captured by the army of The United Manchu
