    The technology allows students to view lectures at any time and place with an Internet connection. Arpanet in the U.S.A was the first network to use the Internet protocol in 1982. Murray Turoff and Roxanne Hiltz combined classroom teaching with online discussion forums, and termed this ‘computer-mediated communication’ The Internet facilitated the creation of the first learning management systems (LMSs), such as WebCT, in 1995. LMSs provide an online teaching environment for students.

    Thanks to social media and social networks, students can access and share information much more easily than before. In this way, the flow of information is now unlimited and easily accessible. Thanks to social media, students can interact with information quite effectively.
