    First people would build a fire and hang a pot or like a cauldron. Then would dig a hole and build a fire in the hole and put flat metal pots on top of the hole.

    Now you could cook more pots as once with one heat stove. These stoves were big so it couldn't fit in some houses.
  • Gas stoves

    Gas stoves were first made in 1826 but weren't used as much until the 1920s with some upgrades. As there were fist coming out there size wasn't the fit with kitchens.
  • Coal Stoves

    Coal stoves were made out of cast iron. They are similar to stoves around this time, but coal stoves had ventilation.

    This stove was very common throughout 1890s. It's similar to a gas stove, but it could use petroleum products because in places gas.
  • Electric stoves

    Later they were patent in 1896. It helped cooking go faster and easier. They first made in Canada and then it expanded from there.

    Electric stoves were the biggest competition for gas, so gas came out with more new stoves. This stove was made out of cast iron and sheet metal and a boiler and the burners.

    Stoves progressed on and began to come out with some new features. They started coming out with timers and automatic controls.

    When these oven first came out, they were very high priced. Also with the radiation it they feared about it but as time when on it got more popular.

    This stove uses electromagnetic field. You can touch it to set the heat (touch stove) and it wouldn't heat up your kitchen.

    This touch screen cooktop would have new things. It would have on it like recipes, weather, and social media. So it could be similar to a smartphone.
