  • Basketball makes a slam dunk on the new world of indoor sport

    In 1891 a man named Dr. James Narsmith was Instructed to come up with a new indoor sport. And did with two peach baskets and a soccer ball.

    The first big league for basketball is formed and is called the ABL (American basketball league was the first to sign players to longer contracts and most of the teams were located in major cities).
