The "Feminine Mystique" is the false notion that a woman’s “role” in society is to be a wife, mother and housewife, nothing else. This book told women that they could do what they wanted with their career, and role in society.

The organization of the group NOW was to obtain equal rights in all aspects of life for women. The acronym stands for the National Organization for Women. They protested and helped to get women rights.

Woodstock was a hippie rock music festival. It had around 400,000 people. It was extremely peaceful. Also, no deaths were reported. Police say the peacful state of the people was caused by drugs. Also, life was not taken away at Woodstock but it was given. There were three births reported at Woodstock.

The American Indian Movement was when the Indians protested at Wounded Knee. They held up a church for 73 hours. The govenment tried to get the women and children out, but they did not want to leave. They made their point, when a treaty was signed. The treaty fell through later after a few months.

This legal case was when women protested to keep abortion legal. They claimed that it was their right to have an abortion, not up to the states. They fought the case with the support of women all around America. In the end they won the case.
