    After gaining frontrunner status in October, Cain suspens campaing due to sexual alegations. After campaigning and fundraising he has to bow out. Campaigning and fundraising are the two most important things a person running for office because it gets them name recognition and eventually votes.

This is when the delegates from the states vote for the Presidential canidate for their party. The majority winner of the votes gets the nomination. Then, the Presidential picks his VP running mate.
