    geaorge Burrroughs, John Willard, John Proctor, Martha Carrier, adn George Jacobs were executed at Salem, many people showed up to watch. All those that were up to be executed clamined to be innocent. It was said that they died by a rightous sentence.
  • Mute Scentence

    Around noon at SalemGiles Cory was to be pressed to death. He was convicted for standing mute. There was to be much pain used against him in two days, on right after the other.
  • Confession

    A petition had been sent to town on behalf of DOrcus Hoar, who now confesses. AFter, an orderis sent to the sheriff to hold back her execution, although her she was to die tomorrow. This is the first condemned person who has confessed.
  • Planning Witch Trials

    William Stoughton, Esq., John Hathorne, Esq., Mr. Cotton Mather, and Capt. John Higginson, and my brother had gatherd at my house. They were there speaking of publishing some trials of th\e witches, It had started t o get dark and began to rain, so we lodged up to continue the next day.
  • Praying

    I had prayed that God would forgive my sinful wanderings and guide me to the future. Next, that he would bless the Assembly in their debates. Also, so that he may save New England as to enemies and witch crafts and vindicate the late judges.
