This relates to the theme because Anne tries her best to be calm and not make Margot even more frightened.

    On this day, Anne's family starts to move into the secret annex to hide from the Nazis. This changed the rest of Anne's life because it would mean she would have to live in fear of being caught and not being able to be outside and breathe fresh air. This made Anne value being outside, being able to talk as loud as she could, not being scared in everything she did, and many more. This connects to the theme because she it was the start of when she had to learn to stay calm in the worst situations.

It changes Anne's thinking about the annex, because she used to be okay with it, until Mr. Dussel decided to move in. This is because Mr. Dussel is a selfish man and is very picky. It relates to the theme because Anne had to stay positive and not complain about her living conditions.

This event relates to the theme because although she is at her lowest point, she tries her best to be positive.

    This is the first major robbery in the building of the secret annex. All of the members of the annex are worried that they will be found soon. This situation made Anne realize how dangerous it was hiding from the Nazi. This created a negative impact on all the members of the annex because there is a possibility that the thief will be curious and try to find them. It relates to the theme because everyone had to learn to calm so that life could go on and so that they could relax.
