    How it relates: She will have to learn to live with others in a small place. It's a different experience, so she will learn and grow from it.

    The Van Daan family goes into hiding
    Summary: A week after the Frank family went into hiding, Hermann and Auguste Van Daan, and their son Peter, joined them in the Secret Annex. The Van Daan family were given two rooms on the second floor of the Secret Annex to use.

    How it Relates: She slowly becomes quieter when they move in, and she learns to respect, but she also grows to loathe Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan. She grows out of her childish behavior after a while because of the other people.

    Summary: They were already starting to struggle surviving in the annex, but Mr. Frank agrees to let Mr. Dussel hide in the annex as well. Mr. Dussel shares a bedroom with Anne.

    Summary: Anne gets her first kiss. Although Peter only kisses her “half on her left cheek, half on her ear,” Anne suddenly feels she is very advanced for her age.

    She feels older, which will probably make her act older too. She has grown out of her childish phase and now she's mature and likes Peter.
