    Abigail is being accused of being involved in witch activities and begins to blame Tituba for conjuring spirits. Abigail and John Proctor had something going on with each other but it is kinda unclear what it is. Betty is still is bad conditions and can't move.

    Gale begins to question Abigail to see if she participated in Devil works, she denies it. Abigail then blames Tituba for drinking blood. Tituba is the scapegoat for Abigail and begins to take the blame for everything she didn't do.

    Mary Warren goes to Salem and this brings up the talk of witch craft that Abigail started. John Proctor is holding important information from the court that the situation is a fraud and made up by Abigail which lead to Elizabeth and John Proctor to have an argument. When Mary warren comes back, she gives the news that Elizabeth wasn't nearly accused of playing with the devil with other women.

    Hale, a person of the court, tells Elizabeth and Proctor that Elizabeth's name was mentioned in the court. He begins to question Proctor for being absence in the church so many times in a short period of time. As they are talking, Giles comes and tells Proctor that his wife was taken from the court.

    Cheever, another man of the court, comes to take Elizabeth because she was accused by Abigail. He spots a poppet that Mary made and it has a needle on the side of it and believes it has something to do with witch craft. Elizabeth ends up going with Cheever and Proctor wants to help get his wife out of the mess.

    Giles' wife is in the court being questioned about whether or not she be a witch. Proctors take the stand to defend his wife and finds out that his wife claims to be pregnant. Proctor tries to help defend his friends and their wives.

    Giles is questioned by Danforth, a man of the court, about the witch issues that are going on. Mary Warren then admits that she was not telling the truth about seeing spirits when she was in the court. Abigail begins to lie about Goody Proctor having puppets in his house.

    Abigail begins to play the victim in the situation and Mary Warren begins to appear as a witch. Proctor then tells that him and Abigail had an affair and believes that is the reason she is making up all these things to get back at his wife. Abigail starts to make a scene as if Mary Warren is trying to hurt her and Mary cries out that she isn't doing anything. Corey and John Proctor are taken to the court.

    In the beginning of the scene, Tibuta is being taking out of the court. Danforth is looking for Parris to question him. Rebecca Nurse is said to be a witch because she didn't confess.

    Danforth came to the jail to talk to Proctor. Danforth tells Elizabeth there is a chance that Proctor will face death due to him not confessing.When Elizabeth gets to talk to Proctor, she begans to tell him about people who didn't confess and their consequences.

    Act 4, pgs 536-539
    Proctor wants to keep his life so he decides to confess to being a witch. Rebecca is upset that John confessed to things he didn't do. Proctor then begins to refuse that he confessed and ends up having to be hang.
