Abigail visits Proctor, telling her troubles while attempting to swoon him and reminisce about what they used to be like. She gives off a few glances, absorbing his presence. Proctor keeps attempting to get Abigail out of his path.

Abigail, Parris, and Reverend Hale talk about what really happened in the woods. A lot of back and forth between Abigail and Parris. Parris then asks about the soup they were gonna have that was in a couldron.

Abigail uses Tituba as a scapegoat, saying Tituba has powers and conjures up spirits and etc. Tituba denies the allegations. Tituba then says she has nothing to do with it, saying it must be someone else.

Elizabeth is accused of being a witch, Reverend Hale questions them to see if they know the 10 commandments and John forgets "Adultery".

A poppet is found and it belongs to Mary Warren. But Elizabeth is accused of hurting Abigail with it. Elizabeth then voices her opinion, making more trouble for herself.

Proctor presses Mary Warren to charge Abigail with murder in the court. Proctor moved closer. Proctor grasps Mary Warren by her throat as though he would strangle her while talking nonsense.

Danforth proceeds to question Proctor about his religious beliefs. He is particularly intrigued by the information, offered by Parris. Proctor only attends church about once a month. Cheever says that Proctor plowing on Sunday, a serious offense in Salem.

Mercy Lewis and Abigail freak out, claiming to see a yellow bird. Yelling and screaming and repeating each other's words. This happens while Danforth struggle to get a single word out.

Mary Warren accuses Proctor of trying to get her to do devil's work. Proctor freaks out in terror and anger in confusion. Proctor is then taken to jail.

Everyone is getting back together, upon doing so Danforth finds out that Abigail and Mercy vanished from Salem. He also found out that he was robbed by them.

Elizabeth finally talks to Proctor and they discuss the trials Proctor was unable to witness. The string of killings from not speaking or admitting to witchcraft. Giles is dead and hundreds have confessed.

Proctor goes insane after signing his name. Proctor tears the paper saying there is no need for it after not handing it to Danforth. Proctor doesn't wish to confess as planned and his fate is sealed. The curtain closes.
