Pioneers Settle in North America
In the year 3001, Shelby's air shuttle, filled with 350 other refugees, landed in the abandoned North America. They were escaping the evil rule of Kylo Ren. The shore had an ancient sign reading 'Jersey Shore' so they named the land Old Jersey, the capital of Shelblandia to this day. -
Shelblandians Create First Government
As things began to get a little violent in Old Jersey, Shelby and a few of her peers knew they had to lay out a government. They started out a simple three-branch democracy, they chose two people to run for president, a group of 20 to run to fill the 12 spots in the legislature, and three town judges. Shelby, and her peers, now calling themselves the PFF, People For Freedom, acted as the town's law enforcement agency. -
The First Official PFF Meeting
In the years past they population had grown too big for their weak government to handle, people had expanded in all directions and they were now out of the jurisdiction of the law enforcement. Even as they hired more people, they couldn't control the population. The jails were filling, people were fighting in the streets over politics and who to vote for, and supporters of Kylo Ren had leaked into the country. The People For Freedom knew something had to be done, They called together a meeting. -
The PFF Propose a Plan
After two long years of anarchy in the streets, meetings, and recruiting support, the PFF finally had a solid plan for an Aristocratic government that would still hear the voices of the people. they proposed the plan to the public, and after two weeks, gave them the opportunity to vote on it. The PFF decided they would need a three-quarters vote to put the government into place. -
The Democratic Aristocracy is Ratified
Four weeks after the plan was proposed, the polls closed and 80% of the people voted yes to the government, and it was put into place. -
War in the Streets
The Kylo Ren supporters that have been living quietly in the community attack. Hundreds of men and women in white uniforms begin shooting at the government buildings, starting the Shelblandian revolutionary war. -
Time to Grow
After the war, they realized the standing government could not stand up to another problem like that, so the government officials and the PFF worked together to write a strong constitution that instituted local governments and would cover expansion, war, and all other things the country could face.
