    Was used to stop discrimination of age as a reason to be not allowed to vote. 18 was the legal age to vote. Argument was that 18 was old enough.

    This helps put a limitation on the president during times of war. After the vietnam war congress now has to approve of any action involving the military entering any form of war. This helps with checks and balances.

    37th US president. Only president to resign from office. And ended the war in Vietnam.

    Race between U.S. and USSR to see who had the better space program. Had nothing to do with the cold war or any war it was just of race of who can get to space faster. This led to the moon landing mission that made the U.S. victorious.
