The Proclamation Line Of 1763
Following the French and Indian War the British create a boarder. this boarder was called the Appellation Mountains. these mountains separate the colonists from the new land because they cant afford another war. -
Sugar Act
This law added a 3 cent tax on sugar to help pay back the debt from the war. this made the colonist mad because they had no representation in this act. the law was soon ended. -
Stamp act
This law made colonist put stamps on paper items to show that the tax has been payed for. Some of theses items were playing card , documents, news papers ect . the stamp act was ended in 1766. -
Townsend Acts
A law passed to put tax on items like paper , tea , paint and glass.The law caused boycotts and colonist making there own products. -
Boston Massacre
Tensions between England and america were very high. As a group of solders were walking the streets as colonist threw shells snowballs etc to bother them. these solders reacting in self defense and pulled out weapons as colonist said fire. 5 men were killed. -
committes of correspondence
the patriot named Samuel Adams started the first committees of correspondence.This was to help the bond between the colonies and to share news about the crises with inland. -
The tea act / Boston tea party
A law passed to put tax on the colonist tea. The colonist got very mad and colonist refused to pay the tax. This started the Boston tea party were 60 men got together and dumped 342. -
Intolerable acts
These acts allowed British solders to come into colonist homes and sleep in there houses and eat there food. This was also when the Boston harbor closed as when as many stores and markets. town meetings were also shut down. -
The First Continental Congress
A meeting which George Washington ,John Adams , Patrick Henry , etc. In this meeting they said it was unfair to tax the colonist. This meeting was the first time almost all the colonies came together. -
The Battles Of Lexington And Concord
