The implication of Globalization
According to the Oxford dictionary, the idea of globalization was first introduced in 1930, it then entered the Merriam-Webster dictionary in 1951. The word globalization was then used in everyday English mostly by economist and socialist (mrglobaliztion). After a rather large amount of time, everyone would be using the term and most likely will be in the coming years. -
Economic impact
Globalization helps millions of people get jobs and money so they can afford homes, food, and clean water in order to survive(John Green). The amount of people brought out of debt is astonishing, considered impossible in earlier times and with the population continually increasing the more people out of the pit of debt the better. -
The downside
Globalization has made many peoples lives better and worse depending on where and who you are. Primarily, the environment went downhill after globalization really took effect on peoples lives. trees are being cut down limiting the clean air supply and with factories and cars emitting smoke limiting air supply even further the people of earth will not be able to breathe. Secondly, more sweatshops were active than back when globalization was less common (John Oliver). -
Globalization today
Most people might not realize it but globalization effects them too, myself including considering I am using a computer with components from different areas of the world. The clothing you wear could be made in an area you never even seen or heard of. It may have even traveled across the world just to end up in your closet. -
