Wulgarf arrives over sea bearing bad news of horrors happening. Buliwyf decides to go on quest, and Fadlan is chosen to go.

Yatlam is the home of Buliwyf, leader of the group. He has come for the Sword of Runding, which holds great powers. When he arrives, he finds it is burned.

Arrive at the Kingdom of Rothgar, which they know is being terrorized by the wendol. As they walk to the kingdom through the country side, they come across 2 farm houses where the occupants were missing or dead.

After the banquet of their arrival, the wendol attack. 2 vikings died, and it is unclear if any of the wendol did, since they don't leave their dead behind. Although, an arm of one was found, and Buliwyf hung it in the Hall of Hurot in the kingdom of Rothgar.

The second attack of the wendol, this time in greater number. A dragon does not actually attack them, but the wendol carry torches in a fashion to make it appear that way.

The group decides to sneak attack the wendol to take them out, but when they arrive at their camp, they find that it has been abandoned.

Dwarves are considered magical, and are very wise. The Dwarves live in caves. The Tengol provides him with advice, and tells him to kill the Wendol Mother in the Thunder Caves.

The vikings descend down the the caves with rope, and battle the Wendol Mother, and Buliwyf kills her.

The wendol return to do battle one last time, and they are once and for all defeated.

Buliwyf was injured in his previous battle with the Wendol Mother, but still is alive enough to fight one last time.

After the kingdom of Rothgar has been liberated from the evil of the wendol, Fadlan tarries in this land for a while, but finally decides to head home.
