    Edmund Randolph and James Madison were involved, bicarmeral legilature based on population of states.

    Made by William Patterson, said that alll states would get one vote in the house, said to amend AOC
  • Northwest Ordinance Act

    The NW ordinance let in new states and abolished slavery in the new states.

  • XYZ Affair

    France sent diplomats over (known as X, Y, and Z) to negoetiate bargains to get France and England to stop impressing sailors, but they asked for bribes, so the US didn't take their offers.
  • Election of 1800

    No majority, so it went to the senate. It was Thomas Jefferson vs. His running-mate Burr. Eventually, (on the 36th vote), they finally got it right and voted TJ president.

    Limited imports from England, and said no to exports... The white house watched the economy drop after that.

    Missouri Compromise made Missouri a slave state and Maine a free state to balance out slavery.

    said no-one could settle in North or South America-- passed by James Monroe and backed up by England
  • Colonization Law of 1824

    Allowed people to immigrate to Mexico gain land that was at least 11 leagues from the coast or a border of a country.

    In the new constitution, the republic took the name of United Mexican States, and was defined as a representative federal republic, with Catholicism as the official and unique religion.ALso slavery was outlawed.

    When South Carolina didn't want to pay their tariffs, so Andrew Jackson made a bill that lowered them, and passed a law saying Congress could use the military to force citezins to do stuff.

  • Battle of Gonzales

    start of Tx revolution, Mexicans wanted the cannon, but didn' end up getting it. The Lexington of the Texas Revolution.
  • Battle of Goliad

    General Fannin was attacked and almost all of the men were killed.
  • The Battle of the Alamo

    The Mexicans laid seige on the Alamo for almost 2 months before this, but this is the day they attacked.
  • Battle of San Jacinto

    The last battle of the revolution. The Texans attacked at night, and killed about 630 Mexicans.

    Gave the US California, Nevada, Utah, and New Maxico. Though the US, defeated Mexico, we still gave them 1.5 million dollars for the land, and didn't take all of it.
