The year 1751 was the beginning of the industrial revolution and at that time England was in desperate need of more land to build new factories. lots of people lost their jobs during the industrial revolution.

England had nowhere to send their convicts so they kept them in crowded smelly hulks.

The cities in Britain became full of pollution and disease. People kept building new factories which only worsened the problem.

In 1987 it was finally time for the convicts to set sail for Australia. They were excited because they would no longer have to be kept in crowded smelly hulks and the would finally be able to breathe in fresh air.

After the long journey the convicts have finally made it to their new home. They are not expecting anyone to be inhabiting the country, but when they arrive they are surprised to see Aboriginal people everywhere.

Bennelong and Colbee were captured by Phillip who was intent on teaching Aboriginal peoplethe way of British life.

Bennelong, after living with Phillip for a little while returned to his tribe and married an Aboriginal woman named Barangaroo.

A hut was built for Bennelong where the opera house now stands the point where the hut was built is now known as Bennelong point.

The first house, Fort Phillip was built by Governor Phillip in an area known as The Rocks.

Bennelong died at kisssing point. His tribe grieved over his death for many weeks.

In 1840 the industrial revolution finally ended leaving England as a polluted and busy country many people had died of sicknesses such as small pox and other major diseases.
