The first combine that could thresh all of the grain right there was very small and slow. But it was faster than swatting it and picking it up by hand and then bring it to the thresher later on when its dry. This combine was 14 feet wide and could combine 20-40 acres a day.

These were very small heads and not very efficient. they could not flex over the ground. had wood paddles to help bring your crop into head, and had just a reel to bring the crop to the feeder house.
-
The John Deere 45 came with or with or without a cab. Has 10 foot header and a 2 row corn header. New tech in the rotor and chopping knifes.
-
The John Deere 8820 was a great combine. they change up rotors a little more more. also hillside combining was added.
-
The 10 series combine was large step for Deere in combine because of its efficiency. The cab was also updated with seat suspension, sun visor, and a larger storage compartment.
-
This method did not keep the tank nearly as clean as the soon to come STS series would have. Also not as efficient.
-
The header shown here in 30 feet long and can flex over the ground. a very good header from experience except ours is 35 feet long and newer... but the same concept.
-
This is the single tine separator. it is way more efficient and better at keeping the grain tank clean. As shown in the picture this seems complicated but when you look at in real life it simple.
-
The 9860sts is a absolute beast for its year. with up to 35ft head and 12+ rows for corn. From experience this combine was largest step of all just because of the "Single Tine Separator" or sts. more on this later
-
On the 9760 they changed the body on the 2004.5 years and the the 2004 model was different and older looking design. They also changed up the cab design on the 2004.5.
-
The S series John Deere combines were large step for interior and exterior design. With larger cabs and larger fold-able grain tanks. With up to 45 foot headers and 18 row corn heads.
-
With 45 foot headers looking huge in the field, Now Midwest is selling 60 foot headers for the S700 series combines
-
This is a picture of a new prototype John Deere. No one knows the release date or when they will even start talking about them.
-
These heads are huge! 24 rows! and i thought 16 and 18 were big. For the S790 i feel like it would still struggle a bit unless they updated the heads to bring in less trash from the corn.
