VHS Tapes
I was born in 1993 and growing up like every other kid, I loved watching cartoons and movies. Back then we used VCRs that played VHS tapes. VHS tapes were home videos that played our favorites or you could record your own video with a video recorder. -
DVD players/discs
After VCRs and VHS Tapes came DVD Players and DVD Discs. When it was introduced in 1997, it didn't take long for it to become the main source of video entertainment in most homes. Today, a large number of consumers have two, or maybe more, devices in their homes that can play DVDs. DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc. DVDs can be used for storing video, audio, still image, or computer data. -
MP3 player
Next came the MP3 player which was similar to the portable CD player but way smaller and could store on average around 400 songs. -

Now days, most have smart phones which have a number of distinguishing features. In the developed world, smartphones have now overtaken the usage of earlier mobile systems. Portable CD player
Growing up I can remember listening to music on my portable CD player. CD stood for compact disc and I could take my portable CD player with me anywhere. The CD would hold anywhere between 5 to 20 songs.
