  • Declaration of Independence

    It was drafted byThomas Jeffereson on july 4, 1776. It was a symbol of liberty and got their independence. And it would be celebrated every year.

    The initial creation / signing of the U.S. Constitution

    The signing of the Constituition started in september 17, 1787. It had been adopted in 1777 and has been ratified in 1787. the Constitution ensured an accurate central government divided into three separate but equal branches (legislative, executive, and judiciary).
  • Steam Engine

    Robert Fulton The inventor of the Steam engine in 1811 that was powered by steam. It was used to transport things and goods to other far distance places.
  • Forty Niners

    Groups of people who traveled in there wagons to the west to find lots of gold. Also made Cailfornia's population grow fast from them finding gold.
  • Homestead Act

    It was a Law signed by President Lincoln allowing people migrating to the west giving the settlers 160 acres of land. and homesteaders had to pay a fee and show ownership of the land.

    Battle of Gettysburg

    The war between the union and confederates which was the Bloodiest war and thousands of people died in those 3 days.
  • Lincoln's Assassination

    John Wilkes Booth came in Ford's Theatre and had shot Lincoln at the back of the head and the audience didnt know until Lincoln's wife was screaming in pain.
  • Wounded Knee Massacre

    It was the fight between the Federal Troops and Sioux. It was a tragic battle. Nearly half the Sioux were killed and were mostly women and children. The Sious eventually surrendered.
  • My Birthday

    I was born in Ephrata, Pennslyvania Just like my other little and older brother. I am a middle child at the age of 13 years old. What i like about 8th grade is more clubs this year.
  • Terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001

    It was a terrible day for the people in NYC it was a terroist attack and hit the Twin Towers and most other buildings. Also thousands of people died during that day.
