The new face of Syria's Revolution now belongs to 13 year old named Hamza al-Khatib. This boy was from a village called al-Jizah near the southern city of Deraa. He was tortured, and his body showed bullet wounds on his arms, black eyes, cuts, marks made from eletric shock devices, bruises, whip marks. His neck was broken and his penis was cut off. This is an important event to add to my timeline because it shows that forces would hurt anybody, even a child. Also this will cause more problems. -

Syrian forces beat up prominent political cartoonist Ali Ferzat, and left him bleeding on the side of the road. Ali Ferzat is 60 years old and he is very famous for his cultural figures and drawings. His drawings have pushed at the bounderies of freedom of expression in Syria. He was beaten because he criticized the regime's offers of reforms. This is an important event because it shows that forces will be violent towards anyone who offends regime reforms.
