There was protest in the southern city of Deraa. The protest was about the government releasing political prisoners. The Security guards shoot hundreds of people, this cause days of violence in Daraa. The president, Assad released some of the prisoners to try and stop this conflict. Assad thought and accuse the protesters of being Israeli agents.

A Arab League was allowed into Syria to observe the country. The league aborts its mission because violence levels were raising. In Damascus’s security building two suicide bombers killed 44 people. This was the first of several attacks.
