even if men got the right to vote a long time ago, women got less than half the wages that men did. The couldn't go to universites and they needed to be sumisse to their husbands, brothers, fathers or any men on the family. For this and more, women in a lot of countrys, especially in Great Britain, started to made groups called suffrage or to vote. -
Women and the Struggle for Voting
Even if the suffragists fought, they won verry littel, Only four Nordic states (Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway) and New Zealand recognised women’s right to vote. But this would change when the war came. Jobs mainly done by men were left they started to get occupided by women, that way, the show the word they could do the exact same work as man.

She was arrested, she went into fights with the police and hungry strikes and took a lot of her time in diferrent speeches and participating in marches. Ones women got the right to vote, she became taking part of politics and ran for Parliament.
