Astralopithecus
They were much shorter, with a face and jaw that stuck out, and their teeth were much larger than humans. Wear on tooth enamel showed that they ate fruit. Arms were much longer and they could walk upright for short periods of time. -
Homo Habilis
They had ape-like teeth and jaws, walked upright but had a body proportionally shaped like an ape. Diet consisted of mostly fruit and some opportunistic hunting. Just like astralopethicus, they didn't not orally communicate. Started using more tools. Stayed in one place. -
Homo Erectus
They had more pitted teeth, more efficiently working legs making tree climbing less of a need. Eats much more meat. Created tools such as axes. -
Neanderthal
Neanderthals had much shorter limbs to help contain body heat, became empathetic and caring towards others, canabalized, wore clothing and created shelters, ate about 5,000 calories to survive in the cold. They could also communicate some. -
Homo Sapiens
Hunters, advanced language, able to adapt to different environments, skeletally the most similar to modern day humans.
