    Started as a peasant and ended up starting the longest dynasty in Chinese history! Naturally he began the Great Ming's laws, which began the tradition of centralization. Like almost every other ruler at this time in history, he became ruler by killing many people.

    Construction of the Forbidden City begins.

    China Invades Vietnam for the 4th time.

    Yongle Canon (Chinese Encyclopedia) is finished

    This is the largest encyclopedia it has almost 23,000 volumes and 370,000,000 written entirely by hand.

    The Compendium of Materia Medica is completed

    Li Shizhen finsihes his manual of how to use 18,000 medicines with 11,000 formulas.

  • Dynasty Ends with Zhu Youjian

    The Chongzhen emperor, saw the fall of the great dynasty to the manchu. The Manchu are a minority in China and their rebellion overthrew the last of the Ming emperor's.
