    Vivekananda, a religious leader introduces Hinduism to America through the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago. He also starts up Vedantas society in New York to continue the spread of Hinduism in the west.

    Hinduism was a large part of the Mauryan Empire. It was founded by Chandragupta starting near the Ganges. It became the largest and most powerful empire in ancient India lasting from 320 BCE to 185 BCE.

    Monotheism is introduced by Shankara, a hindu philosopher. Even though Hinduism is not seen as monotheistic now, it had small influences such as having the supreme figure be a Braham while simutaniously having many other gods.
