    This is important because it led to the independent islands being put under one government.
  • The very first permanent sugar plantation on Kauai

    This is very important because this branched to the other islands and became one of the main crops in Hawaii. This brought a lot of money to Hawaii.
  • Hawaii adopts its first constitution.

    This is important because it was the first fully written constitution for the Kingdom. It was also extremely detailed.
  • The pineapple industry began with the importation of pineapple from Jamaica.

    This important because pineapple was another one of Hawaii's biggest crops. The dole Pineapple plantation brought tourism and money to the state.
  • The Hawaiian monarchy was overthrown.

    This led to the Kingdom of Hawaii to fade away. So the overthrow of the monarchy was the start to how Hawaii became apart of the U.S.
