    Atomic Bomb
    Inspite of the warnings from American presidents, Japanese refused to surrender. Two bombs were dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6th and 9th August 1945. By then, officially, Japan surrendered on 2nd September, 1945 aqnd the Pacific world war 2 was finally over.

    Partition of India
    Hindu and Muslims lived together in a subcontinent. British came for Trade but later, ruled the contry. Indian leaders were enraged and wanted the British to free their country. Because of cultural, socaial and religious issues, Muslim leaders demanded a separate Muslim state, ie Pakistan. Therefore, Pakistan came into being through negotiating with Britsh leaders. Quaid e Azam was made te first govermer general of Pakistan.

    Meternal Great Grand Parents migrated from India to Pakistan
    When sub-continent was officially divided by the British into India and Pakistan, my mother's great grand parents, who were Muslims longed to join Pakistan. They wanted to live rest of their lives in a Muslim state. Their children accompanied them during their migration. They abandoned their home, property, money and relatives behind. On reaching Pakistan, they were given a house to live in.

    My father's grand father went to England for job in 1948, He settled there, bought a house and sponsered rest of his family who joined him in 1956. He bought a house in Birmingham

    Korean war was fought between north and south Korea on the border. The two poles of the country formed two governments. North Korea had a communist government and South Korea formned Capitalist government because North and South were ruled by Soviet Union/China and Allies respectively. They fought because they wanted to promote only one government on both sides.

    It started as the European Coal and Steel Community, a simple free-trade organisation with France and Germany as the main members. It was to help with the economic reconstruction of Europe after World War 2. It helped countries that were poor and those that were new.

    After the death of Maurice Duplessis, Jean Lesage was elected in 1960 in Quebec and he made the Quiet Revolution. This new government promised to improve the social and economic standards of people of Quebec and to give French Speaking Canadians more privilages and greater control. These golas were set because English speaking were not granted much attention even though they were the majority.

    Nelson Mandela played a huge role of fighting against Apartheid in South Africa. However, he was arrested for his work in desegregation.He was known for using non-violent tactics and protests while pushing toward a new land of equal rights regardless of race. He was fighting for black people because they weren't granted as many rights as white people. In was kept in prison for 30 years.

    My mother's uncle Immigrated to New Jersey, USA. He completed his masters in economics in Pakistan and went for a job in USA which he found, in the government institute. Later, his wife and children joined him.

    Neil Armstrong was the first person on the moon. Russia and America had a big arms race. To prove that America is better in technology, it was trying to ways to land on the moon. This is why Appolo 11 landed on moon.

    The relationship between Quebec and Canada reached a crisis in the 1970s. FLQ, kidnapped two politions James Cross and Pierre Laporte in Montreal and black mailed the Canadian goverment to free 23 terrorists or they would kill the polititians. They also demanded transportation to Algeria and $500000 in gold bars.In the end,FLQ members were arrested and punished.

    By profession, she was a doctor. She was married at that time having two kids. She and her husband applied for a doctor's job in Australia in 1970. After two years of processing, she immigrated to Sydney, Australia. The reason of migration was for a better job and a better future for her kids.

    The parti Quebecois wanted freedom for Quebec but only 20% of the French Canadians had the same opinion . This is because they thought they would be ruled by Britain and they would be economically, culturally and politically deprived. When the Parti saw they were going to lose, they enforced Sovereignty Association meaning Quebecer would be free but it would still maintain ties with Canada. However The Parti lost and sovereignty association went as a flop.
