    The Progressive Era was a period of social activism and political reform in the United States that flourished from the 1890s to the 1920s.
  • America as a World Power

    America as a World Power
    This was a time when the U.S. had just expanded Westward and were now looking to expand more but they didn't know where. They also established themselves as powerful during this time.
  • WWI

    WWI
    When the Arch-Duke of Austro-Hungaria and his wife were assassinated by a Bosnia-Serb, the Austro-Hungarians attempted to strike a deal with the Bosnia-Serbs instead of going to war with them. When the Bosnia-Serbs didn't meet all of the deal requirements, they eventually went to war. After that, Germany sided with the Austro-Hungarians and went to war with France, and eventually WWI started because the whole European area was fighting eachother.

    The Woman Suffrage fought for about 50 years before making it legal for women to vote, which was their main goal. Not until after World War 1 did they achieve this.

    The Roaring 20's
    The Roaring 20's was a time of cultural and style dynamics. Flappers and Jazz music were two examples. Jazz music was considered "vulgar" because of the dance moves that went with it. And Flappers were a word used to describe the teen girls that partied, danced, and went to social events at the time. They also wore dresses that were considered risky and hats that were a symbol of being a flapper.

    FDR and the New Deal
    This was a point in time from 1934-1938 when Franklin Roosevelt came up with a plan to save the people of America from the Great Depression. He came up with new jobs, created stable ones so that the Great Depression wouldn't occur again, and gave the Federal Government more power.
