Cotton gin is invented in U.S.

In 1793 there was made a machin that could make cotton gin. The person who invented this was named Eli Whitney. Cotton was a super duper good invention. Farmers could grow it and make clothes. America got a lot of mony form selling cotton gin because other countries would by it so that they coul make clothes. -

The slavery in Great Britain ended because both white and black could not tolerate it anymore. The brithis people had tried to abolish slavery for quite a long time untill they, in 1833 finally made it. -

When Lincoln was chosen as president in 1860 people wanted him to abolish slavery in the U.S. He said he would, but nothing really happend untill December 6th 1865. The people wanted slavery to end because a lot of the slaves were related to people who weren't slaves. -

The Murder of Emmet Till
LinkEmmett Till was a black boy (14 years old) who said hi to a whit girl in a shop because some boys dared him to do it. The owner of the store, who was the white girls husband didn't like that and he sendt some one off to kill Emmett. His body was found the next day with a bullet in his hed and missing an eye. -
Freedom Riders Movement
The Freedom Riders Movement was an activity that fought for civil rights. There were 13 men both black and white and many of them were in their 40s and 50s. -
Martin luther king jr. assassination

Civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was hit by a sniper's bullet. The bullet flew right trough his right cheek and traveled through his neck and stopped at his shoulderblade. He died one hour after the shot. -
Last country to abolish slavery

That country was Mauritania which is licated in western Africa. It is still slavery around th eworld though. But the last few years it has been criminal to do such a thing.
