    In the 1950's it started by the mellow surfers they started out with wood crates and old wheels, it was mostly downhill and freestyle.

  • 1970's

    In the 1970's they began doing skateboarding contests, and they got more skilled, skating evouloutionary boost towards the sport

  • 1980's

    in the 80's there was skateboarding clothes, music and culture, it was really good to skate in the NYC.

  • 2000

    Since 2000 skateboarding became mainstream. Better skateboards, better skateparks, more money put in to skateboarding. Every skater should try to skate in the NYC once!.
