"Sid the kid" was born in Halifax Nova Scotia and grew up in Cole Harbour Nova Scotia.

Due to bullying in Canada at the junior level, Crosby left to Minnesota to play for a prestigous high school program where he had 162 points in 57 games and won the U18 National Championship

Crosby was the firts overall selection in the QMJHL draft and went on to lead the Oceanic to a league victory and won the national "memorial cup" of the CHL. Crosby had 168 points in 62 games in his final season and led the league there and in playoffs where he had 31 points in 13 games gaining himself playoff MVP as well as league MVP. He had 11 points in 5 games at the memorial cup.

Crosby was one of very few to play as a 16 year old at this international hockey tournament. He played in two tournaments; 2004 where he got silver and 2005 in Grand Forks where team Canada dominated and captured Gold.

Crosby was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins and had 102 points in 81 games in his first NHL Season. He went on to have a career best 120 points the following year.

Crosby captained team Canada to gold in the 2014 winter olympics in Russia. They beat Sweden 3-0 in the final where Crosby had a goal and an assist.

The Penguins defeated the San Jose Sharks in 6 games to capture the Stanley Cup. Crosby was the playoff MVP.

Crosby captained team Canada to a gold medal at the World Cup of Hockey in Toronto. He led the tournament in points and was also the MVP.

Crosby captured his third Stanley Cup as the penguins defeated the Nashville Predators in 6 games. Crosby was MVP again.
