  • Eilleen Edwards birth

    Sharon (née Morrison) and Clarence Edwards celebrated the birth of Eilleen Regina Edwards (now known as Shania Twain). She was born in Windsor, Ontario. Her parents divorced two years later.
  • The Big Move

    Around the time of Eileens sixth birthday they left the Norman Street house for a small rental house on Bannerman Street in Timmins Ontario. She then began to attend Mattagami Public School. It was at this school that she volunteered to sing a song for show-and-tell that changed the rest of her life.
  • Singing Lessons

    Shania started taking singing lessons from Toronto based coach Ian Garrett and often wouldn't have enough money to pay for her lessons so she would clean his house in payment

    Love Is a RoseShania wrote her first song called Love Is A Rose.
  • Tragic Accident

    On this day, Shania's mother and step-father Mark Twain died in a car accidently approximately 50 km north of Wawa, Ontario. As a result, Shania moved back to Timmins to look after her younger siblings, then taking them to Huntsville, Ontario. There she performed at the nearby Deerhurst resort to support them.
  • Debut Album

    Shania's debut album was slated for release, simple titled Shaania Twain. This ablum was not a hit when first released but after other albums were realeased, people started buying it, and it became 67th on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums with 1,200,000 sales and 28th on the Canadian RPM Country Albums. This went 2× Platinum with 200,000 sales.

    Debut Album

    Twain assembled a demo tape of her songs and her Huntsville manager set up a showcase for Twain to present her material to record executives. She caught the attention of a few labels, including Mercury Nashville Records, who signed her within a few months. Twain's self-titled debut album was released in 1993 in North America and garnered her audiences outside of Canada. The album only reached No.67 on the US Country Albums Chart, but it gained positive reviews from critics.

    Any Man Of Mine Music VideoRock producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange heard Shania's original songs and voice from her debut album, and offered to produce and write song with her. They met at Nashvilles Fan Fair in 1993 and produced the album "The Women In me" in the year 1995. The album's first single, "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" went to No.11 on the ''Billboard'' Country Chart. This was followed by her first Top 10 and No.1 hit single, "Any Man of Mine". As of 2007 it had more than 12 million copies.

The album stayed on charts for the next two years, going on to sell over 40 million copies. This album was once the biggest-selling album of all time by a female musician. It was also the eighth biggest-selling album by any type of artist in the US and the top selling country album in history.

    Shania and Robert welcome son, Eja D'Angelo Lange into the world.He was born in Switzerland.
  • "Up"

    "Up" Music Video''Up!'' was Shania's third album and it was released with three different discs – country/acoustic (green CD), pop/rock (red CD), and world/dance (blue CD). Sold 874,000 albums in the first week alone. It remained at the top of the charts for five weeks. ''Up!'' reached No.1 in Germany, No.2 in Australia and the Top Five in the UK and France. In Germany, ''Up!'' was certified 4x platinum.

    "Party For Two" Music VideoIn 2004, she released the ''Greatest Hits'' album, with three new tracks. As of 2008, it has sold over four million copies in the U.S. The first single, the multi-format duet "Party for Two", made the country top ten with Billy Currington.

    Shania Twain finally ends it with Robert "Mutt" Lange after finding out he has been unfaithful and having an affair with Marie-Annie Thiebaud, the couple's longtime secretary and manager of their chateau in Switzerland. The divorce was finalized June 9th 2010. Shania was then seen getting "cozy" with Swiss Frédéric Thiébaud (the ex-husband of her former best friend Marie).

    At age 45 Shania Twain and fiance Swiss Frédéric Thiébaud get married on the beach of Rincón, Puerto Rico.

    Twain received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her star is the 2,442nd Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Category of Recording.
