    After the Franks receive a letter about Margot being deported to a concentration camp, they realize they are not safe. Due to it, then go into hiding in the annex the next day. Margot was 15 at that time, and Anne was 13. This event was a turning point in their lives, going back to the theme, stating how your fear can control you for life.

    More Mouths to Feed

    As their days have just begun, another set of people have joined in on the party - yes, the van Pels. As commonly known as the van Daans, they were acting very kind towards Mr. and Mrs. Frank. Shaking their hands more than once certified that there was bound to be a change of character here. They will only make Margot think that they should have never shared the annex with them (the van Pelses).

    Me and Her

    When Anne and Margot finally get time to talk, Anne brings up a topic about the future. Specifically, she wants to know how Margot will spend her future after the war is over. This turning point in the story accurately represents how Anne and Margot are completely different and their personalities differ by a large gap. Anne talk
    s about being a famous writer, journalist as such. However, Margot just thinks about getting out and letting her fears go, relating to the theme.

    Another One Bites the Dust?

    When Friedrich Pfeffer joins the Franks and the van Pelses in the annex, it was going to be an obvious outcome that more conflict between characters may happen. However, it is more of a story turning point more than a conflict. This is because Dussel will tend to be mad at the van Pelses. And due to that, more people will get involved within the fighting. Margot will feel as if her worries will only grow and her emotions may control her, as the theme states.

    House Warming.. Or Is It?

    After living in the annex for almost a year now, everyone inside has a scare for a split second. Before going to sleep, Peter hears a noise coming from the front door, and later on he reports it to Mr. Frank. As it turns out, there was indeed someone inside the building. From the footage, they stole a lot of rations, causing a major turning point for everyone in the annex. From then on, they would have to only survive on limited foods, causing more worry for the criminal situation.
  • A New Hope

    A New Hope

    After another year, not a lot has happened. However, Margot can finally see some light in the world she is in. June 16th, 1944 is obviously known as D-Day. Everybody in the annex had their spirits lifted and they celebrate. This will cause a change in Margot, positively, because of how she will be able to pray and hope for the better future that may come. And because of it, the theme will prove to be wrong, and Margot may come out better than ever.

    Found You!

    After 2 years of hiding, the Franks, van Pelses, and Mr. Pfeffer has been found. The Gestapo was alerted of their presence in Otto Frank's business building, and on they went. Two years of hard work, put down the drain, lost forever. This negative event will cause some an excess of worry, especially in Margot. Her hopes that she found not long ago have already been wasted. Because of it, the theme proved to be better, crushing Margot's dreams.

    The Start of The End

    After being caught, life only went downhill. Mrs. Frank, Anne, and Margot were left behind in Auschwitz. As the days went by, the girls started contracting illnesses and had to be transferred to another camp. However, Mrs. Frank was left behind in Auschwitz and was slowly dying after. Before Anne and Margot reached Bergen-Belsen, Edith Frank was already dead. Margot and Anne's illnesses proved the theme to be right, controlling their lives with fear. They slowly died, Margot first, Anne second.
