    In late July Ms. Lewinsky turns over a now infamous blue dress to Kenneth Starr's investigators. The FBI will later confirm this dress contains semen stains that to a "reasonable degree of scientific certainty" belong to the President.

    The US House of Representatives approves two articles of impeachment against President Clinton accusing him of lying under oath and obstructing justice.

    The impeachment trial of President Bill Clinton begins in the US Senate. President Clinton is only the second President in American History to be impeached.

    It's Over
    The Senate acquits President Clinton of both articles of impeachment. The vote was 45 to 10 not guilty of pergury. The senate was split 50-50 on the obstruction charges, falling short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict.
