    Magazines and newspapers published stories about child labor to get the publics attention. Politics and business and social problems such as slums had to all be fixed. McClure's Magazine was published in this time to help spread the word.
  • Standard oil

    McClure's first printed a story on the standard oil. The dauter of a inivisule oil producer she must of had a lot on her back. When John D Rockefeller's standard oil came alone her fathers company went bankrobed. But this didnt stop her she went to allegheny college and was the only girl in her class. She graduated and became a writer and published negitive storys on standard oil.
  • Muckraking press

    Theodore Roosevelt described a man with muckraking and his eye was messed up. this showd the people the filth slums and more and more people prented things on this becuse it is what the public wants to hear. Becuse if something is going on that can affect them they want to know.
  • Female and Chid Laborers

    Female who worked in the jobs like factorys, Atore clerks, and laundresses earned less then $6 a week. It was hard to incress your income if you were not a man, you could be penalized for working to fast. Children who worked would die sooner then useual becuse of inposable life theatening tasks.
  • Social problems with getting rid of child labor

    many people wrote about this like, Theodore dreiser, Edith Wharton, and Herbert Croly. They beleaved the government should use taxes to make there income go up so it is easier to live. But the govenment answered they have to show social responsibility as well. With more money children didnt have to work and, neather did the women.
