Gloria Co- Founded Ms. Magazine, whos slogan is "More than a magazine, A movement". Goria was also a Ms. Magazine editor for 15 years.

The ERA finally got hearings in Congress as the No. 208 joint resolution brought to the house by Martha Griffiths of Michigan. They began and held many hearings over the course of that session but eventually got passed by the 92nd Congress. The vote was 354 yeas, 24 nays, and 51 obstentions.

The Senate had long hearings about this bill that were dragged out over time. Then the 208th resolution that was to be decided was overwhelmingly passed with 84 yes, 8 nays and 7 obstentions.Passed by the 92nd Congress.

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex discrimination in federally funded education programs or activities. It greatly expanded athletic opportunities for woman and girls.

Roe v. Wade is the historic Supreme Court decision overturning a Texas interpretation of abortion law and making abortion legal in the United State. The Roe v. Wade decision held that a woman, with her doctor, could choose abortion in earlier months of pregnancy without legal restriction, and with restrictions in later months, based on the right of privacy.

The problems that still exist is there is still not equal pay between men and women. A very large success is getting closer for men and women being equal but we still are not there yet. Goals are for men and women to be 100% equal.
