School, Media and Technology timeline

Schools is the largest institution in which kids are involved. There are things around the school that have an influence on the students and teachers experience. "Each of these factors interacts and contributes to the experi- ence an individual has at school, in terms of his or her feelings of connectedness to school, perception of safety and general climate, the quality of the relationships he or she forms, and so forth"( Mental, Emotional & Social Health (part 1)pg. 6).

Media and Technology is quickly evolving along the side of us. "Any list of the sorts of devices and programming to which young people may have access is likely to be at least somewhat outdated within months." As opinions of people change technology and meads changes with it. "Social learning theory, which has also been applied in the study of media violence, suggests that when individuals see a behavior portrayed in a positive way, they have a tendency to imitate and adopt it"(Unit 4 pg.6).

My sister went through a phase where she really didn't workout or even try to because she would rather watch tv or play a game or be on twitter. This was a negative effect on her because media was effecting her health.
