One-to-One 9th & 10th
One-to-one Chromebooks n the hands of all freshmen and sophomores. -
One-to-one All Grades
All grades at SJHS will have one-to-one Chromebooks. -
All Teachers on Haiku or Google Classroom
All teachers will operate a virtual space on a LMS (i.e., Google classroom or Haiku) for each of their classes. -
Online Coursework Required
The incoming freshman class (and subsequent classes) will be required to take at least one distance learning or online course as a graduation requirement. -
Leading Edge Teachers
All teachers at SJHS will be Leading Edge certified. -
Digital Portfolio Graduation Requirement
All students will have created a digital portfolio of their body of work over their high school career including their Senior Project, college and career plans, resumes, FAFSA applications, sample work. -
No Traditional Desks
All traditional desks will be in storage. All classrooms will be equipped with furniture that maximizes student collaboration and efficient use of technology. This includes easily moveable student workstations and multiple angle projection or flat screen TVs in each room. -
Schedule/Calendar Transformed
Our daily schedule and school calendar will be transformed to allow for maximum flexiblity of use of student and staff time: early hours, late hours, staggered times, etc.
