Neolithic farmers 2

Samaya's Neolithic Revolution Assignment

  • How Houses Were Made. (3000 B.C)

How Houses Were Made. (3000 B.C)
In Central America, more areas in Europe, England, and Scandinavia started practicing farming. Most of the houses were made of wooden sticks woven together then covered with clay and mud. (3000 B.C). I included this in my timeline because this was the first real piece of evidence about the start of the Neolithic Times and how the community was created/started.
  • Irrigation System

    Irrigation System
The Irrigation system was developed in Mesopotamia, while the first signs of agriculture were seen in America. (3500 B.C). I included this in my timeline because Irrigation was and still is very important to us and the Neolithic Times.
  • The Beginning of Farming (In Greece). (4500 B.C)

The Beginning of Farming (In Greece). (4500 B.C)
In Greece, farming started to become popular in Western Greece to Hungary. (Around 4500 B.C). I included this in my timeline because farming was very important to the people apart of the Neolithic times and we wouldn't have most things if they didn't start farming such as certain kinds of wheat to create cereals.
  • Field System. (5500 B.C)

    Field System. (5500 B.C)
The oldest known filed systems in the world were found in Céide Fields in Ireland, which was mostly enclosed by brick walls. (5500 B.C). I added this into my timeline because I know that field systems are very important to the Neolithic people and since this is the oldest field system in the world, it wouldn't be right not to add it.
  • Survival Issues. (6500 B.C)

    Survival Issues. (6500 B.C)
Catal Huyuk, in Anatolia, was the most extensive surviving example of a Neolithic town (6500 B.C). I wanted to add this into my timeline because everything wasn't so perfect and nice during the Neolithic times and the survival issue was one of the reasons why it wasn't so perfect.
  • Jericho. (8000 B.C)

    Jericho. (8000 B.C)
Jericho was often quoted as the first town, it eventually grew into a settlement roughly covering ten acres (8000 B.C). I added this into my timeline because Jericho was one of the first towns that were made into a settlement and therefore it basically created most of the Neolithic families and started the Neolithic times in general.
  • Hunting in Neolithic Times. (Around 8000-9000 B.C)

Hunting in Neolithic Times. (Around 8000-9000 B.C)
In Eastern Asia, the Neolithic Era started in the Middle or Near East. There was a time when people would move from the hunting and gathering stage and start settling down in one location. (Around 8000-9000 B.C). I added this into my timeline because farming and making crops wasn't the only thing that could feed you we also need a source of meat to survive too.
  • Neolithic Times Now.

    Neolithic Times Now.
The first (agricultural) revolution began in the ancient Near East (southwest of Asia, Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Caspian Sea, Red Sea, Persian Gulf, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Cyprus, Iraq, western Iran, Egypt). Wheat was cultivated at sites in the Levant. (12000 B.C.E). I chose to add this onto my timeline because I wanted to show people related or have ancestors from the Neolithic times are carrying their traditions and thriving for a better world.
